We are happy to launch a brand new service for you and your horse, we will professionally undertake a full cleaning service of your horses saddle, bridle, girth and your boots.
The service will include an initial inspection of your saddle, bridle, boots and girth (if needed) to understand what level of service is needed. We will then use our years of experience and our amazing products to deep clean, feed and finish your tack to amazing condition. Your horse will thank you for it.
The condition of your tack is really important, we spend lots of money on our tack and it is essential that it gets looked after regularly. The safety of the quality of your tack and your horse is key to safe riding.
During the clean, we will inspect all of your horse tack, and check for wear and tear, and advise you of anything that may need attention. We will remove the stirrup leathers and clean them and replace them, we also take off the reigns and the bit to fully clean the returns and check the billets for wear or corrosion, we will fully clean the tack and return it to the original hole positions,
We can clean and treat your tack at your own yard OR you can drop it over to us and have a chat about the services we offer.
We are full members of the Guild of Leather Craftsmen.
We are fully insured and will treat your tack with respect and care.
We will also offer a discounted monthly contract where we can undertake regular tack cleaning and work in line with your shows and competition schedules.
Gift vouchers for tack cleaning are available and make fantastic gifts or competition prizes.
Please feel free to call us or contact us through the website for any specific requests.
This is the full package of tack cleaning, we will inspect your saddle, bridle, girth and horse riding boots and gently clean to remove any dirt, sweat from your horse and surface abrasives. We will then fully feed and treat the leather accordingly with a suitable product from the Balmoral Equestrian range of products. All leather will be different and in need of a different treatment. We remove the stirrups from the bars and clean the leathers separately, we will also undo the bridle parts.
Your saddle seat is normally made of a softer leather than the rest of the saddle, this means it can fade and show signs of wear quite easily. If your seat starts to go green or is showing watermarks that won't polish out, we can re dye the seat area using a vegetable based pigment dye. It takes a couple of days but the resuklts are excellent. The dye will not come off on your jodphurs either as it is sealed and waxed after the applications.
We can collect your tack from the West Midlands area. for areas outside this please call to arrange the best option.
